Information Box Group

MSMF was started by Dr. Chandra Sankurathri, in memory of his wife Manjari, son Srikiran and daughter Sarada who were killed in the Air India 1985 bombing.

The Foundation has three institutes focused on improving quality of life for Indian citizens.

Sarada Vidyalayam, is named after Dr. Chandra’s daughter. In honour of Sarada’s dream of being able to attend school, the goal of Sarada Vidyalayam is to provide  education to underprivileged children. The school provides free school supplies, uniforms, transportation, meals and medical check-ups for all students, alongside a high-quality learning experience.

Srikiran Institute of Ophthalmology, works to reduce blindness with accessible and affordable procedures. For a portion of India’s population, eye care and medical procedures for eyes are inaccessible or unaffordable, resulting in blindness for around 19 million people in India. The Srikiran Institute of Ophthalmology has ensured that citizens receive proper eye care without consideration for their socio-economic status.

The Spanadana Disaster Relief Center, which was created in response to those affected by natural disasters like cyclones, storms and hurricanes. It provides shelter, food, drinking water and medicine as a part of its emergency relief program, and works to help families affected by disasters with their recovery.
